The US Is Heading for Seven Trillion-Dollar Banks by 2030 — and the Reference Deal Is Santander-Webster

Bain & Company projects five to seven US banks above $1 trillion in assets by 2030. The reference deal is Santander's $12.3B acquisition of Webster Financial, approved by the Fed on August 4. Santander has banked Miami since 1979 — and is building a 50-story tower in Brickell.
